COACHING STAFF
Andrew Hundley-Head Coach
Andrew is entering his 12th year at the helm at Manual. He is a 1990 graduate of East Hardin High School in Glendale, Kentucky. He received all state honors in both baseball and football. Andrew attended Eastern Kentucky University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 1994. Coach Hundley worked 17 years in the Hardin County School System as the Director of the Bluegrass Middle School Youth Services Center. He is currently employed by the Bullitt County School System as a School Social Worker and Counselor. The 2020 season will be Coach Hundley’s 16th year as a head softball coach and 18th all together in Fast Pitch Softball. He has coached High School and Middle School Football for 19 years. Andrew has daughters, Sarah Beth (21) and Megan Grace (16). Coach Hundley’s hobbies include watching college football, landscaping, and weightlifting. His favorite sports teams are UL, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Braves.
Steve Oberhausen
Assistant Coach
Obie enters his 11th year as an assistant at Manual. He is a 1981 graduate of Durrett High School where he played baseball, and a 1986 graduate of the University of Louisville with a degree in Accounting. He works at Mercer Human Resources where he has been for the past 16 years. He's been coaching nearly his entire life, starting as a teenager helping his dad and brothers with numerous Little League teams. Continuing with his children, he has been back into coaching for more than 22 years at both baseball and fastpitch softball. Steve has been married to Tymna for 34 years and they have three children; Brien (’08 - Waggener), Evan ('16 - U of L) and Maris ('16 - Manual). Tymna has been teaching in Jefferson County Public Schools for 35 years and is currently teaching Kindergarten at Lowe Elementary. Coach Obie’s hobbies include repairing ball gloves, restoring his classic Cutlass, and watching/coaching all levels of baseball and softball. His favorite sports teams are U of L, UK, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, and California Angels. His favorite athlete is Rod Carew.
Shannon Putman
Assistant Coach
Coach P is entering her 8th year on the staff at duPont Manual. She is from Syracuse, New York where she grew up playing sports her whole life. She lettered in soccer, basketball, and softball in high school. Shannon continued her softball career at the University of Tampa, in Florida mostly as a catcher. She said she loves everything about fastpitch and looks forward to sharing that same passion with everyone. She has coached softball at multiple different levels for over 11 years, and said she feels honored to be a part of the duPont Manual family. She is probably the biggest Syracuse Orange fan you will ever meet. She has 2 beagles, and teaches special education right down the road at Cochran Elementary. She also is a huge UK fan, loves the Chicago Bears and has a secret crush on Neil Diamond. Her hobbies are long walks on the beach and watching any UK sports activity.
Jana Johnson
Assistant Coach
Coach J is in year 5 of her coaching career as assistant coach with the staff at duPont Manual. She is from Louisville and graduated from Manual in 2011. While at Manual Jana played both basketball and softball. She played guard in basketball and shortstop on the softball team. Her first year of Manual softball was also Coach Hundley's first year at Manual. She received a BS in Biology from the University of Louisville in 2016.

Jana considers herself a "jack of all trades but a master of none". In her spare time Jana is quite the outdoors woman. She love to fish, hunt and hang out at the lake. She is a huge fan of Justin Bieber, the Chicago Cubs, the University of Kentucky and ZZ Top.

Destiney Taul
Assistant Coach
Coach D is entering her 5th year as assistant coach with the staff at duPont Manual. She is from Mt Sterling KY where she grew up playing softball, basketball, ran cross country and was a member of the swim team as well. During her career at Montgomery County High School, she lettered in softball and basketball and appeared in 7 state tournaments combined in both sports. She continued her softball career at on scholarship at Campbellsville University, in Campbellsville, Kentucky as a utility player and graduated in of 2016 with an Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Education and plans on returning to the University of Louisville to pursue a Master’s in Sports Administration. She has a passion for the game of softball and looks forward to sharing that same passion with everyone. She feels honored to be a part of the Manual family. She loves cheering on the UK Wildcats, playing with her Labrador retriever Dez and enjoys teaching at Thomas Jefferson Middle School here in Louisville.
